SECOND SMASHBURGER LOCATION SIZZLES INTO LEXINGTON SEPTEMBER 16

Smashburger, a fast-casual ―better burger restaurant will open its second Lexington location on Thursday, September 16, 2010. The restaurant will open at 3695 Nicholasville Road, and continue Smashburger‘s mission to become Lexington‘s favorite place for burgers. This is the second of six Lexington Smashburgers slated to open over the next three years. Lexington‘s first Smashburger store is located in Center Court at 535 S. Upper Street.
Lexington Smashburgers feature a regional menu created with Bluegrass flavors and tastes in mind. The Bluegrass Smashburger features Wild Turkey bourbon barbecue sauce, applewood smoked bacon, melted cheddar bar cheese and fried banana pepper rings on an egg bun. Diners can also enjoy the 3 Way Smashdog made with Cincinnati chili, cheddar cheese and onions. The Bourbon BBQ Ranch Chicken Smashsalad is made with a mix of fresh garden greens topped with strips of grilled or crispy chicken, chopped applewood smoked bacon, fresh diced tomatoes, haystack onions, cheddar cheese, with Wild Turkey bourbon barbecue sauce and buttermilk ranch dressing.
Guests can quench their thirst with an Ale-8-One soft drink, enjoy an Ale-8-One Float made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and served in a frosted mug and regional beers from Alltech Lexington Brewing Company.
Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the ―better burger‖ experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, the freshest produce and top-quality condiments.
Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious crispy or grilled Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes, self serve fountain drink floats or root-beer floats.
