Fit and Fabulous: Whitney Lochmueller

By Amanda Harper Posted: March 2nd, 2010

Doing work with the Pegasus Board and developing an event for the Lexington Cancer Foundation and spending a lot of time with her family, Whitney has discovered that breaking up her workouts over the course of the day is what works for her.  She does Pure Barre or takes a Kineses class in the morning then does cardio in the evenings while catching a good show on TV or reading a couple magazines.
Whitney has a serious back injury, so she knows that she has to keep herself in shape in order to feel good and avoid all the problems she’s experienced in the past.  She also knows that working out relieves stress and keeps her feeling great.
“I think my biggest accomplishment is just developing myself into a person I want to be, which includes taking better care of myself than in the past,” Whitney explained. “I’m also very proud of the fact that I’ve been consistent and worked very hard to prevent any more back problems by strengthening my core.”
She encourages others seeking to get fit to tackle one thing at a time, whether that’s choosing to do cardio for ten minutes or cutting bread out at dinner.
